Kim Kardashian vows to sue over claims she faked robbery

Kim Kardashian's robbery is serious—and she's treating it as such.

As previously reported, Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint, bound, and gagged in her Paris apartment on Oct. 2, 2016, and her robbers are still at large. New details have emerged about the culprits being dressed as cops, but Kardashian has reportedly denied that their police officer uniforms looked legitimate. A source said that the uniforms "looked like they came from a Halloween store," and that the attackers left duct tape and zip ties behind at the crime scene.

Source reported that reality star is suing MediaTakeOut.com for alleging that she faked the robbery for publicity. The lawsuit claims the site used "random people on social media" as its sources and notes that faking the robbery would be a federal crime. Kardashian and her legal team initially requested an apology and a retraction, and when the website didn't respond, they took the matter to court.

Kardashian's sister, Khloe Kardashian, opened up to Ellen about how Kim is doing. "I mean, she's not doing great," Khloe said. "It's incredibly traumatic what happened to her. But our family is super close and great and we'll get through it together, and we do appreciate all of your guys' love and support and it will take time. You know, it was horrible what happened to her." She added, "It's just a wake up call to make a lot of life adjustments. This is a really serious matter for Kim. I think that's really personal, as to that emotional terror [and when] you could move on from that. It's a wake up call for all of us, but definitely [the focus is] just to make sure our sister is okay." As for what those adjustments are, Khloe says, "Just [to] make sure we're protected as well as possible."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, filming Keeping Up With the Kardashians has been suspended indefinitely following the robbery. Other adjustments include Kim reportedly hiring a body double and employing a security team comprised of former Secret Service and CIA agents, as well as utilizing armored cars.
